Frequently Asked Questions

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you probably have a few questions. We’ve answered the ones we hear most often, but if you’re still unsure or have additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • The first session is all about getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’re hoping to work on, and what support looks like for you. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, you can go at your own pace. It’s a space where you can exhale and start being honest about how you’re really doing.

  • If you’ve ever said to yourself, “I’m tired of holding it all in,” or “I just need someone to talk to who gets it,”—then therapy is probably a good next step. You don’t need to be in crisis. You just need to be ready for something to feel different.

  • We work primarily with adults dealing with:

    • Anxiety and overthinking

    • Depression and burnout

    • Life transitions

    • Relationship challenges

    • Difficulty setting boundaries or putting themselves first

If you’re not sure if we’re the right fit, we’re happy to talk through it on a free consultation call.

  • The Healing Space Counseling & Wellness accepts insurance for therapy services. We are in the process of finalizing insurance partnerships, and this section will be updated to reflect the accepted providers. Clients will also have the option to self-pay if preferred.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions, but we can adjust that based on your needs, goals, and budget. Therapy is flexible, it’s about what works for you.

  • No—all therapy sessions are currently offered virtually for your convenience and privacy. You can meet from the comfort of your home, parked in a car, or anywhere you feel safe and grounded.

  • You can start by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation call. This gives us a chance to see if we’re a good fit before you commit. From there, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to get started.

  • That’s okay. Sometimes it takes time to find the right therapist or the right approach. At The Healing Space, we do things differently. This is a space for real talk—not clinical jargon or quick fixes. You’ll be met with warmth, curiosity, and compassion.

  • Yes. We plan to collaborate with yoga instructors, fitness coaches, and other wellness professionals to facilitate classes and series hosted by The Healing Space Counseling & Wellness. These offerings will be open to clients as well as the community, expanding access to wellness and creating more opportunities to support your healing journey.

If you are one of the local wellness experts mentioned and you would like to collaborate, please contact us.
